The less said the better, so ill keep this short. We battered them, and they were so under the kosh that one of their players resorted to punching Victor in the face for nothing. The ensuing fraces ended in him and Samuel getting sent off (our only out and out striker). After that we lost our heads a little, and got affected by the constant Sitges incitement, provocation and gamesmanship. We had about 30 chances to their two, but they scored in the 93rd minute to win it. We should have been about 5-0 up at half time, but we werent, we should have ignored their harrassment, but we didnt, they should have had at east one other player sent off, but they didnt. Its the way the game is and weŕe up against it now in the title race. Concentration, tough battling and an eye for goal will get us through vs Flahertys on saturday, and we are desperately in need of the 3 points now. We are our own worst enemies, and it will take some maturity to get us through.

1-0 win vs Terrassa
What a great day out. The sun was shining, summer in the air, and we had an excess of players for once. Taking such a strong squad meant that we could mix up the team, and have a strong bench which seems to be the winning formula for Terrassa. The pitch was as dry, uneven, and dusty as ever, and the longball tactics that Terrassa employed meant that the defence had a few confused moments in the first 5 minutes, but soon settled into their rhythm, with Mike, James, Terry and Cedric controlling the poor Terrassa front line easily. Our midfield of Michael and Victor totally dominated and it soon became clear that barring mistakes, and better subs, we were going to be on the front foot for most of the game. Walther on the right wing was having a great game, and as he often does, was embarrassing their defenders regularly with his trickery. Mid way through the first half, he dropped a shoulder in the penalty area, dribbled past 2 defenders, and put a delightful chip over the outstretched hand of their keeper for James to nod in at the back post almost apologetically. This goal brought him to 4 for the season so far, and the fact that our strikers have only 5 each shows where the problem has been so far. The incidents for the rest of the game centred around dodgy tackles from their keeper trying to injure Juan, and Nick. Juans bravery playing on with what looked like a broken thumb, the Doctor almost being chopped in half by the bars on the side of the pitch, and a few poor misses up front. The fact that we were only 1-0 up with 10 minutes to go meant the guaranteed comeback would be a little nailbiting. The defence held them off pretty comfortably though, and apart from a couple of crosses that missed everyone, a draw for Terrassa would have been a disgraceful score. Either way, another 3 points and thats 4 wins in a row for the Collins. Bring on Sitges, and Jordi Cruyff, and a day out in the sun again. Man of the Match, James for his clean sheet and goal, a colossus in the back 4, although there were a few strong performances on the day, notably Walther, Juan, Michael, and Cedric.

28.2 3-0 Win vs Mu Gung Hwa
Well without actually playing we managed 3 wins in a row this week as the Koreans didnt pay their league fees. It was a double edged sword though as we would have liked the opportunity to improve the goal difference but knowing us we would have made a hash of it anyway. It leaves us 2nd in the league only half a point off the top. Flahertys lost in Sitges which is good for our position (but only if we win there). Next weekend is the game against Fritzs austrian team which should be a good training session for the terrasa game the following week which will be a tough test to see if we are worthy of this lofty position.
